Too Easy grew out of years of collaboration within the Bay Area music community. Kate wrote the song’s hook, joining Ian Kelly, DJ D Sharp, Dreebo, and SUNDAY on a track that blends lyrical hip hop with soulful melody.
Ian Kelly, known for his intricate lyricism, had previously worked with Kate on the KL x Basta EP. DJ D Sharp, the official DJ of the Golden State Warriors, was also part of the extended creative family through Grand Nationxl and Eastshore Highway. Those years of shared projects gave the recording an effortless chemistry that feels less like a guest appearance and more like longtime collaborators picking up where they left off.
