LINER NOTES
Konkrete Violet grew naturally out of an ongoing creative relationship between producer NOBL, rapper Mani Draper, and Kate Lamont. NOBL had already built much of the musical foundation before vocals were written, allowing Kate and Mani to shape the songs together during studio sessions. The result became a true conversation between singer and rapper rather than a collection of featured appearances.
Jazz Mafia musicians later added the project’s horn arrangements, expanding the record’s cinematic feel. Plans for live performances were already underway when the COVID-19 pandemic abruptly halted those opportunities shortly after the album’s release.
